On September 14, 2000, the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (38) of the Universities and Private Colleges Law No. 13 of 1996, as amended by Law No. (57) of 2002, to establish the Baghdad College of Medical Sciences. The college is also subject to scientific and educational supervision by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the college is founded by the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate.
