Dean’s Message....
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abbas Hussein
College Dean
It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all faculty members, students, graduates, and staff of Baghdad College of Medical Sciences, as well as to visitors of the College’s website on its electronic portal.
The College was established in Baghdad in 2000 by the Pharmacists Syndicate under the name “Baghdad College of Pharmacy.”
At the time of its founding, the College comprised the Department of Pharmacy, which included three branches: the Branch of Pharmaceutics, the Branch of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, and the Branch of Therapeutics and Clinical Pharmacy. The first graduating class obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) in 2005.
In 2017, the Department of Nursing was inaugurated, thereby enabling the College to award both the B.Pharm. and B.Sc. Nursing degrees.
