College Dean
I am pleased to welcome all faculty members, students, graduates, and staff of Baghdad College of Medical Sciences, as well as visitors to the college’s official website.
The college was established in Baghdad in (2000) by the Pharmacists Syndicate under the name “(Baghdad College of Pharmacy).”
At its establishment, the college included the Department of Pharmacy with three branches: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmacognosy, and Therapeutics & Clinical Pharmacy.
The first class graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in (2005).
And in the year (2017 AD), the Nursing Department was opened, and thus the College began granting a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Baghdad College of Medical Sciences – Your Future Starts Here
Foundation
The establishment of Baghdad College of Medical Sciences was approved on 14/9/2000 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, based on the provisions of Article (38) of the Law of Private Universities and Colleges No. (13) of 1996, as amended by Law No. (57) of 2002.
The college is under the full scientific and educational supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
It is considered one of the leading educational institutions established by the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, which reinforces its credibility and the quality of its academic programs.

We strive to foster a stimulating research environment that enables students and faculty to contribute solid scientific work that elevates the scientific and medical community both locally and internationally.
Admission & Registration
We welcome all students wishing to join Baghdad College of Medical Sciences, where we provide a comprehensive academic environment that enables students to build their professional future in the fields of Pharmacy and Nursing.
- The student must hold an Iraqi preparatory school certificate or its equivalent, authenticated by the Directorate of Education.
- Applicants born in 1995 or later
- Must be a full-time student, and it is not permitted to combine employment with study in morning programs.
- Pass a medical examination as required by the chosen specialization
- Incoming students for the academic years (2023–2024 / 2024–2025) are eligible to apply through the online portal after submitting a certificate equivalency issued by the Ministry of Education.
