Second-year students of the Nursing Department at Baghdad College of Medical Sciences continued their clinical training in the Adult Nursing course at Baghdad Teaching Hospital – Haematology Floor, where they learned about how the ward operates, studied clinical cases and followed up patients under the supervision of the department’s teaching staff and in coordination with the hospital’s medical and nursing staff.
Clinical training is an essential part of preparing nurses, linking what students learn in the classroom with real-world practice in healthcare institutions, strengthening their practical skills and preparing them for the labour market.
This activity is part of the series “A Day in the Life of a Nursing Student”, which the department publishes to document its students’ field training.
