His story in his own words
His journey in one sentence: “Full of steps and new opportunities towards a better future.”
The biggest challenge I faced was balancing study with daily commitments and difficult living conditions, especially during my undergraduate years because of the challenges the country faced after 2005. At one point I felt there was not enough time and that my results might suffer. It began with stress and loss of focus, so I decided not to let the problem grow. The first step was relying on God and making a clear plan instead of working haphazardly: I wrote a weekly timetable, set fixed times for revision with short breaks, broke big tasks into small parts to complete gradually, and focused on priorities rather than trying to do everything at once. I also asked my family and colleagues for help when I got stuck, and learned from others’ experiences instead of wasting time in confusion. With persistence, my productivity improved and the results began to show — and so it remains to this day, thank God.
Dr. Humam Tawfeeq Hadi Al-Ghaffari’s advice to today’s students
“Persevere and start studying early; pharmacy requires strong fundamentals and continuous understanding. Read the references regularly and apply them in practice, and keep your intentions sincere in every word and deed.”
