Third: Databases and Electronically Archived Books

These include a large number of specialized pharmaceutical books and references archived electronically in PDF format, featuring international references such as:

: BNF، Goodman & Gilman، Martindale، Stockley’s

…and others.

These databases are used internally in the department through designated computers.

Students are guided to use them for research and graduation projects.

Fourth: Resources and Multimedia

A computer hall has been allocated with a number of modern devices, used for accessing electronic books and databases.

It provides a flexible and dedicated learning environment.

They are used for graduation projects and interactive courses under faculty supervision.

Fifth: Reference Management Systems and Databases

The library relies on two systems:

1. Koha – An open-source integrated library system.

2. CDS/ISIS – A data archiving and indexing system from UNESCO.

To support scientific research, preparations are underway to introduce programs such as Zotero and EndNote.

Currently, there is no direct subscription to databases such as Lexicomp or Micromedex.

Sixth: Qualifications and Experience of Library Staff

The librar staff includes an experienced librarian and a computer programmer responsible for digital systems, cataloging, technical support, and user guidance.

Seventh: Library Health and Learning Environment

The library provides a comfortable learning environment that includes:

♦ Cooling systems covering the entire area

♦ Suitable and eye-friendly lighting

♦ A location away from noise sources, with continuous staff supervision to maintain quietness
